القطايف I think you are right, I am translating a Jordanian or Palestinian dialect, so they don't say the letter (قاف) usually, do you know any specific name for it or I just have to transliterate it?, would you please put your answer on Kudoz? thank you very much Nesrin.

Kateyef seems to be a more common spelling. I've also seen them referred to as "Arab pancakes" on recipe websites.
