BAmary (X) Jul 28, 2004:
Me da la sensacin que en este caso el inconforme" es la persona que presenta la queja porque habla del "agravio aducido por el inconforme". Es cierto que "inconforme" s tambin no conformar con alguna regulacin, pero no me parece que este sea el caso.

petitioner

I agree with BAmary, it is talking about the person that is filing the complaint.

non-compliance

may be it is expedient to translate this term simply as "non-compliance" ?
Peer comment(s):

neutral BAmary (X) : I don't think so... It seems it is talking about a person, it's nominalizing the adjective in Spanish by adding the definite article. It doesn't say "inconformidad", which would be "non-compliance". That's what I think... Saludos.

the person presenting the claim

I don't know if this is in Court, in which case it could be the plaintiff, but it seems is something a lot less formal...

apellant

el inconforme = the apellant

Appears to have a Mexican flavor.
Peer comment(s):

agree KirstyMacC (X) : Petitioner to be used sparingly for BE purposes: only in divorce, insolvency and co. windings-up.

Yes, and here it does appear to be some sort of an appeal, plus the word "inconforme" is often used in Mexico for "apellant". They also have a penchant for using a variety of terms for the same thing and in the same document, hating repetition as they do.
