I'm doing a Colombian Criminal Complaint that says in part, "Un día entrando por la 45 a la Universidad Nacional (Bogota)..."
I am supposing that "la 45" refers to a bus, train, ,metro route?

coming in on the RN45

The main road leading into the university end of Bogotá is indeed the 45. Now we need to know if this is for US English or not - I can only offer a British "voicing of this", and I am also assuming that the Rutas Nacionales are referred to as "erre enes" in Colombia, - in Spain we talk about the N110 (Nacional 110) - all pretty much guesswork I know.

No problem Tom - but could you put that in the Discussion section too so that everyone see it? Thanks.

btw I don't understand it as meaning a method of transport (I'd expect "en" for that) and since I immediately found out that the road into the uni is called the 45, I didn't search any further. Maybe that is a mistake, but at least I have done some research ;-)

Perhaps "coming in on 45" (just been talking to a Canadian colleague ;-))

getting into by the 45 (or entering by the 45)
Mi sugerencia. Creo que es una vía terrestre.

: A stab in the dark until you have some documentary evidence. En todo caso no sería "getting into", coming in quizá, luego on/by...

7 mins
entering throgh 45th street (or avenue)
I thnk it means the street throgh whcih the person entered the campus. In Colombia could either be carrera, calle, or avenida.
20 mins
arriving on the 45 (bus) / entering via 45th street
si "45" refiere a un autobús / si "45" refiere a una calle o carretera
