multi-camera coverage of news
As in the example of:
Live TV coverage of this month’s historic Parliamentary sessions in Glasgow will be possible thanks to a deal agreed today by the Parliament, BBC Scotland and Scottish Television.
Multi-camera coverage of the five plenary days in Glasgow – on May 17, 18, 24, 25 and June 1 – will now be possible, ensuring business can be covered by all broadcasters in a similar fashion to that in Edinburgh.

Sorry, Adam. I couldn't confirm this whole term exists. For sure, we can talk about "multi-camer" coverage of specific events but I don't know if we could say "of news" - it looks a bit too general.

Comment: "Thanks for a lot of helpful input from everybody - it indeed was all helpful. Finally the word that jumped out at me as being right for my context was "coverage". Thanks again: you all provide a powerful service...!"

: This is not about the subject being shot, but about the style of shooting (single- or multi-camera)

: Although used a lot in amateur curciles, I'm not convinced this term sits well with professional multi-camera work.

: Yes, multi-camera shooting, or even just multicamera tout court; Jane's explanation and analysis is exactly right. I'd avoid 'filming', simply because multi-camera is also sometimes used with real 'film'!
