There was a bit of a flurry of activity in the third week of October as various members of the ProZ.com site team gathered in Syracuse for a second hackathon.
In addition, this hackathon included the site team's celebration of the impending retirement of one of its oldest members (in both age and in years working for ProZ.com), Enrique Cavalitto.

In addition to modernizing its look, in line with the ongoing efforts at modernization site-wide, the Blue Board now also has new features to make it even more useful both to freelancers and to companies:

Sheila Wilson -- https://www.proz.com/profile/630232 -- was this year's winner in the "Most helpful contributor" category of the Community choice awards. She has a previous win in this category as well, in 2013.
If you have spent any time on the ProZ.com forums, you have probably run into Sheila. She is a long-standing site member, a member of the Certified PRO Network, contributor to term help in KudoZ, has volunteered for Translators without Borders, and is always quick to provide feedback, advice, or otherwise lend a hand to those in need of help with issues in and around the translation business.
Sheila works in French to English, specializing in the fields of marketing, tourism and hospitality.

Siegfried Armbruster -- https://www.proz.com/translator/49165 -- won in the "Most attractive/professional profile" category in this year's CCAs. Siegfried was a long time member of ProZ.com and was a constant contributor in many forms, both on and off the site.
Sadly, Siegfried passed away earlier this year, but he leaves behind countless contributions that will no doubt be of help to many.
