English term or phrase: value of £3M - czy to na pewno milion?

Słuchajcie, pytanie banalne, ale na serio się zastanawiam. Mam w tekście opis projektu budynku mieszkalnego, w którym jest 18 mieszkań i wartość budynku położonego w Edynburgu wynosi £3M. Czy to na pewno miliony? Jak patrzę na ceny nieruchomości w UK to wydaje mi się, że tylu mieszkań by się za to nie kupiło. Dodam, że to tekst opisujący projekty pewnego biura architektonicznego.
Będę wdzięczna za pomoc!
