Trados Studio 2015 won't recognise Excel files

Hello all!
I can't add Excel files as "translatable" texts into existing projects after reinstallation, as they always appear as "reference". And when I try to change the usage, it pops up a notification saying "the selected file was not changed into translatable, because no matching file type could be found". But I've already ticked the checkboxes of Excel formats as supported types. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?
