Hi all, I am currently working on a doc and right in the middle of translating, I did something, that turned all the rest of the empty cells into green confirmed!! Is there any way I can undo this? I like to monitor the progress in translation as I go. TIA | | | try pressing Undo | Nov 18, 2012 |

Unfortunately, "undo" is no longer an option because (dumb me), I saved and exited at a certain point | | | Wolf Kux Brazil Local time: 13:34 Member (2006) German to Portuguese + ... A suggestion ... | Nov 18, 2012 |

Before doing this, on Project settings > Language Pairs > batch processing > pre-translate, unmark "confirm 100% matches". Now, open this renamed file for translation. Maybe that those problematic segments become unmarked. If this happens, translate them, forgetting all earlier translated segments (let them blank). After finished this work (translating wrong-marked remaining segments), save this renamed file, close it, go back to Project settings above, and now mark "confirm 100% matches". Now, go to files section, right click on this file, select "batch tasks" > pretranslate (or alike). After that, this new file would contain all translation, including the correctly translated segments. Generate the corresponding target file, and, if so, delete the "_B" extension on file name. Now one would ever now this circumvention. Since I work on german version of Trados, the above processing path may be a bit different. HTH ▲ Collapse

As Zoltán says, change the status of the segments. Select all the segments where you want to change the status. To do this, place the cursor in the first segment that you want to change back to untranslated. Make sure it's in the segment number column on the left. Now go the end of the file (ctrl+end) and click shift+left mouse click in the last segment number. With all the segments selected, do a right mouse click and select "change segment ... I don't know what I am doing but suddenly all the segments are confirmed. I followed Emma's advise and marked the segments in the far left column and it worked. This just now happened to me also, but was quickly fixed once I found this thread with your solution. Indeed, it's a strange and apparently persistent bug. | | | All empty segments suddenly marked as confirmed - Recurrent problem | Dec 15, 2013 |
I just experienced in SDL Studio 2011 the same annoying, disconcerting, time-wasting problem. Unfortunately, SDL staff themselves do not seem to understand what is going on. Who will, then, I ask? I've just had the same problem. For some reason, marking a random segment as locked and then unlocking it again undid the accidentally confirmed segments.

Hello, I wonder if you could use the SDLXLIFF Toolkit to change the status of all the segments to Translated in one go? This is a free application that you can find on the SDL OpenExchange website.
