English term or phrase: to inject code

In order to provide this functionality, the software has to have the ability to intercept the executable and perform analysis before is passed on to the client computer system.
The software products ***inject code*** at the kernel level to intercept and prevent the code from being passed to the client.
oder:
The report shows the “breakpoint for the handler” that causes the ***code injected*** at the kernel level to take over processing of the Downloadable before it can compromise the computer system.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Danke Harald.
